Har-har-har!!!

Posted by: Bozwell   in Bozwell, In The news, Law and Order, sentencing, victims

I'd never heard of Prosecutor Ian Heath before today, but he's a funny guy. But never mind him for a moment, first things first. This is the story of the tragic end to a World War 2 Veteran's life--82 year old Jack Larkin. Jack was struck down and killed by a speeding car in September 2005. The driver of that car was (now) 20 year old P-Plate driver Steven Roy Leslie who has pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving causing death.

Leslie has no prior convictions and apparently has never been in trouble with the law before so bear that in mind. Prosecutor Ian Heath thinks that Leslie should be imprisoned and has asked for an immediate jail term!!!

I can barely type from laughing so hard!!!

No, Leslie will be told that he's been a very naughty boy and sent to his room for the night--that'll be about the extent of the poor young lad's "punishment". He's only killed one person you know, and I'm sure he's very very sorry.

Anyway, at least it's good to see that there's a prosecutor out there with a sense of humour.

The Green Air Push Is Killing The Amazon!

Posted by: Patrick   in Environment, Patrick

Do we need any more evidence that the whole global warming industry is akin to nothing more than a gaggle of chickens running about with their heads cut off?

CLEANER air due to reduced coal burning could help destroy the Amazon this century, according to a finding published today that highlights the complex challenges of global climate change.

Best we all take a deep breath, relax and do nothing for a while until these small (but enormously expensive) issues are sorted out.

Stupid left wing comments

It’s a T.A.X Tax Julia.

Posted by: Patrick   in In The news, Patrick

In a normal world, anyone proposing this kind of rubbish would be run out of town.

WORKERS would pay an average $5.70 a week to fund six months of paid maternity leave under a plan before the Federal Government.

So they want to take about $5.00 each from both Kati and I, and give it to a working mother so she can have 6 months off after the birth of her baby.

Who could come up with a scheme like this? Read the rest of this entry »

Help I need an Economist

   Posted by: SFW   in General

Can somebody explain to me how economics works. I am sure that everyone is aware that the cost of living is going up, particularly fuel and groceries as well as utilities. Now the Reserve Bank sees this as a bad thing, fair enough so do I. However their solution to the problem is to raise interest rates and therefore the cost of your mortgage. Now this is where I need the explanation, how does raising my mortgage rate reduce the cost of oil or groceries etc?

Another mystery, some banks have raised their interest rates higher than the Reserve base rate. Now interest rates in the US, Japan and other places are considerably lower than Australia, I think the US is around 2.75%. The banks move money around the world constantly and must have access to these low interest rates. So why are they saying that the cost of borrowing is going up for them?

As Pauline famously said 'Please Explain'.

21 Years, Not Enough!

Posted by: Kati   in Kati, The Vault files

In cyberspace we can find out a world of information, and we can find even more misinformation. Sometimes we find things that are truly interesting and can keep us following links for hours. Then sometimes we find things that it was probably better to have been left ignorant of. Being blissfully ignorant can sometimes be a damn good thing.

I hate reading the news because there is a world of awful people out there. People we feel really don't deserve to share this planet with us. I get tired of listening to what new and disturbing ways people can be cruel to one another.

Some criminals don't get, what we feel, is enough time for their crimes. They serve their sentence and are released as if they actually deserve to walk free again. Patrick and Boz came up with the vault for these people. The vault is for criminals who don't deserve to see the light of day.

Righteous dude

Posted by: Bozwell   in Bozwell, The Vault files

28 year old Darren Jones was travelling on a suburban train back in February 2006. There he was, sitting quietly reading a book and minding his own business (he probably even had a valid ticket!) when all of a sudden he was attacked and stabbed three times. Yes, Darren Jones was murdered by Corey Acuna who had no reason to commit this atrocity. Nope, Acuna just felt like murdering someone at random...What a guy. 25 year old Corey Acuna--the latest sad addition to The Vault.

The Sad Decline Of The Liberal Party.

Posted by: Patrick   in Idiots, In The news, Patrick

Nobody is perfect thats for sure. However when it comes to people who are elected to represent me, the Paddy, I at least expect a high standard of behavior. Lets have a look at John Howard for a second. No scandals there. No drunken strip club exploits there. No "other women" in his life and certainly no chair sniffing. The man was a clean skin. Not perfect of course, but way above bra snapping chair sniffing antics.

The Liberal party needs more like him in positions of power within it's ranks.

buzz.jpgThis idiot, Troy Buswel, on the other hand could just be a perfect symbol of all that is wrong with the now devastated party.

EMBATTLED West Australian Opposition Leader Troy Buswell is confident he will survive a spill motion a party meeting today, despite the embarrassing chair sniffing scandal.

The Liberal leader has been under intense pressure to resign after admitting last week that in 2005 he sniffed the chair of a female Liberal staffer at parliament house after she had stood up.

A second (Third? Fourth? Maybe even fifth??) rate leader. He is no John Howard.

What is the West Australian branch thinking even considering keeping this clown as leader? Are they trying to prove how "hip" they are? Maybe trying to show all that warm and fuzzy "forgiveness" stuff? Are they so abysmally short of talent that this twit is the best they have?

I especially love this bit "The Liberal leader has been under intense pressure to resign". Intense pressure? He should have been sacked the day the incident became public knowledge. That way the party at least looks like it won't tolerate such low standards. It at least looks like it's searching for better. To settle for Troy Buswell is a public declaration that they are as devoid of talent as they are of class.

In Defense Of Gordon Ramsay.

Posted by: Patrick   in Idiots, In The news, Patrick

I like Gordon Ramsay. I like his passion and his commitment to perfection (as he sees it of course). I also like that he calls a spade a fuckin shovel.

It seems though, that his drive and his language have many detractors. This one in particular cracks me up.

A MELBOURNE principal has ordered her pupils' parents to switch off foul-mouthed TV chef Gordon Ramsay.

At a special school assembly, Flemington Primary School head Lesley McCarthy directed parents of pupils in years 3 to 6 to make Ramsay off-limits.

And she was backed by Victorian Principals Association president Fred Ackerman. He labelled Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares show "abhorrent".

WARNING....A RANT FOLLOWS (that may make Mr. Ramseys well known fondness for course language sound positively tame). Read the rest of this entry »

Boris is London mayor as he routs Red Ken to complete Gordon Brown's day of misery

Boris Johnson capped a cataclysmic day for Labour by seizing power in London last night, and left Gordon Brown facing a desperate fight for survival.

The Old Etonian handed David Cameron a stunning political triumph by ousting veteran mayor Ken Livingstone.

Mr Johnson won with 1,168,738 first and second preference votes, compared with Mr Livingstone's 1,028,966 on a record turnout.

Once again, Scott posted a superb comment and this time it was on one of my posts entitled "Problem Solved". I liked Scott's comment so much that I have decided to re-post it here for the benefit of anyone that missed it.

I'm sure that he wouldn't mind...

King Kevnie the bureaucratic halfwit has spoken and once again it's all shit...

As if upping the price of pre-mix drinks will make a rats arse worth of difference, but hey, it looks good on tele and Mr Image is all about looking good.

If Tin Tin had any spine and really wanted to address binge drinking then slapping responsible drinkers across the face with a new tax is a totally fucking ridiculous way of going about it.

Boo-Hoo!

Posted by: Bozwell   in Bozwell, Idiots, In The news

This guy is a Catholic priest who feels sorry for crooks. Sadly, father Joe Caddy is one of many people who try to convince the rest of us that we treat prisoners too harshly. Sadly he and many others think that punishing crooks is not the way to go--that we must try to understand them better, sit down for tea and scones with them, reason with them, make them see (through compassion and warmth) the error of their ways. Obviously in his latest diatribe where Caddy wags his finger at a society as cruel as ours, he spares not a single word for the victims. How predictable and once again I say, how sad...

Just Wonderin is all…

Posted by: Patrick   in In The news, Patrick

I was just wondering if this bastard

POLICE have intensified the hunt for the Frankston gunman as confirmation of his long and bloody criminal history raised fears for public safety.

Is the same is this low life

To the younger killer of my mother, Marie Greening Zidan

Anzac day was mums birthday, if she had not been murdered she would have been 81years old on the 25thApril 2008, but she is not here on the day of her birthday, but there you where in Frankston. Yes I am talking to you the youngest of her killers. You are not supposed to be in Frankston, but have been seen there on a number of occasions since your release, you are on probation, yet you obviously think it is a joke the fact that a part of your parole is not to be in certain areas. I hear you are telling people that it was not you who killed mum, you are telling your friends and all who will listen that you waited outside my mothers house while your friend was responsible for my mothers, bashing, sexual assault, and murder, do you tell your listeners that your DNA was on my mother, that it was your voice in the answering machine that sang the dirty sexual song to me from the juvenile center, you have not changed, you where a potential liar as a little boy and have remained one as an adult.

One of your friends who hangs around Frankston, passed on a message, that you are always in Frankston, and no one can do anything about it,not even the Police.

Don't think for a moment that you are invisible, you look like your brothers, many people have seen you in Frankston.

Just wonderin is all.
