Filthy Maggot.

Posted by: Patrick   in In The news, Patrick

Changi prison in Singapore has a somewhat dubious place in Australian history. In 1942 it was a POW camp run by the Japanese. When the Japanese captured Singapore in 1942, they interned 50000 British, Dutch and Australian troops (and civilians) in Changi.

Now it should be noted that Changi was more than just a prison, it was a village.

Changi is and was much more than a prison.
It is both a village and a locality with an area of thousands and thousands of acres.

What we, in Australia, might call a rural suburb or village.

When the island “fortress” of Singapore fell to the Japanese in 1942 all the “captives” were sent to the area of Changi, which became a huge POW Camp.

In 1942 there were around 15000 Australians in Changi. Many were sent from there to work on the Burma Railway, at which 120,000 POW’s died. One for every sleeper laid. By mid 1943 only 2500 Australians remained imprisoned at Changi. In May of 1944

all the Allied prisoners in Changi, now including 5,000 Australians, were concentrated in the immediate environs of Changi Gaol, which up until this time had been used to detain civilian internees. In this area 11,700 prisoners were crammed into less than a quarter of a square kilometre, and this period underlies Changi’s place in popular memory. Rations were cut, camp life was increasingly restricted, and in July the authority of Allied senior officers over their troops was revoked

Over the years stories of Japanese atrocities too horrific to imagine (and according to many official websites, hard to prove) have sprung up about the treatment of Australian POW’s at Changi.

So why am I telling you all this?

Because of the disgusting, sickening, disgraceful, despicable downright fucking atrocious comments by some bastard called Robert Richter, QC.

The soldiers interned at Changi were fighting for their nation, they were giving their lives, they were sacrificing their very existence to protect Australia from Japanese invasion.

So how does that compare with the death of one miserable low life drug smuggler at Changi prison yesterday? Lets ask Robert Richter, QC.

“Changi is a place that resonates in the Australian psyche … we remember Changi for the unspeakable horrors that happened there under Japanese occupation,” Mr Richter told the crowd.

“But what happened at Changi this morning is more shameful and worse.”

Singapore killing one drug smuggler is worse. Worse than the “unspeakable horrors” inflicted by the Japanese.

I am speechless beyond words. Robert Richter, QC you are filth. I hope that one day you stumble across this post, I hope that you realize that not everyone glorifies a low life drug smuggler, not everyone thinks his death is “more shameful and worse” than the death of Australian soldiers fighting for their nation. I guess because you hang out and work with filth for a living, you might not know this. I do not have the words in my vocabulary to describe the utter contempt I hold you in Robert Richter. God help me if I am ever in need of a QC to defend me. I swear to the almighty I would rather eat dog shit on toast than employ the services of a maggot like you.

“But what happened at Changi this morning is more shameful and worse.”

What kind of a steaming turd is this guy to have said something like this?

I am disgusted by this to the point that I can barely type….well done to Downer for saying what he said. You get the impression from his comment that if he were in a position to speak more freely he may have said much more.

Onya Patrick for speaking up about this outrage….”Filthy Maggot”? couldn’t agree more.

Mr. Ritcher QC got a blast from Peter Faris QC on 3AW this morning, even Nick agreed that he was way out of line and they asked for an apology and tried to contact him by phone however up until I had to leave he had not answered his phone, I wonder why.  How dare he insult my heroes, I believe that he is a European Jew who together with his family had to leave his country and eventually ended up in Australia, Peter said that it was because of the fight that our heroes put up in defending our country that he was able to come here, we must agree with that.

Rachy…Sometimes Downer sparkles, most of the time though he just bores.

Bozwell…I could not come up with an insult that I considered fitting, I hope I was not to soft.

Hamish….Agreed.

Ginger…Sorry I missed it. I guess we can add coward to Ritcher’s repertoire of sins.

Hah. Yet another literate, cogent, logical and grammatically correct analysis from the failed candidate for Drouin.

patrick_hakwe_1@hotmail.com? Goodness lad, can’t you even spell your own name?

Hi Han!

literate, cogent, logical and grammatically correct

They are not usually words associated with my ramblings! However no one can come away after reading them not knowing just what I think.
I try to be 100% honest in my writing, and I try to portray my feelings as best as possible within the limitations of “semi literacy”.
As for the misspelling of my name, it was deliberate. I found over a period of time that using very unusual names will lead to a bit less spam in your mail box. However not wanting to hide behind a totally false moniker (like Han Johncock for example  ) I just changed a letter around.

It was a pity I lost, I think council could have done with some blunt honesty.

Thanks for the comment!

It’s invigorating to know that people like Han Johncock are reading your posts Patrick!

But what I find most amusing about this persons comment is that instead of commenting on the subject that you have written about and coming up with something sensible to say about it, all we are left with to read is “failed candidate for Drouin.”

Huh? Apart from that having nothing to do with the post, there is no such word as failure when you have given something a red hot go like you did.

True, you were defeated in the election (and by a slim margin) but your effort to speak honestly and openly to the voters was by no means a “failure” my friend!

Far from it!

It has been suggested to me Boz that Mr Johncock may indeed go under the name of Robert Richter during daylight hours. A little bird tells me that comment is a way of saying “I know who you are”.

Stiff shit.

I cannot believe the derogatory comments made above about Mr Richter. You are all clearly uneducated and have no idea about the criminal justice system and the fundamental principles of the rule of law. Mr Richter is a superior advocate and it is a shame that we do not have many talented and passionate advocates like him. I’m sure the comment that he made was taken out of context and he was trying to stress the importance of the basic principles of human rights. I could only dream of achieving and being half the talent that he is.

No, it was not taken out of context, thats what he said, thats what he meant. I believe he did do some backpedaling once he realized that not everyone lives in his idiotic bubble.

Dream a little higher mate, there are enough maggots in the world already.

We must remember that Rob Richter is employed as a legal defence. It is his job to defend those whose actions are reprehensible. Sometimes this means saying things that could be considered outlandish in order to acheive a positive outcome for people who have committed crimes. It is up to the court to decide whether his comments are good ones or not so good ones.

Any jury and judge with some wisdom would acknowledge this and dismiss this line of defence immediately. As for the abusive language disclaimer about leaving comments that are also incoherent your own writings insulting Rob Richter break your own internet forum rules and can be considered to be slanderous by law. Are you being a hypocrite?
