Phillip Adams is probably the most decorated and celebrated moonbat in Australian history of Moon-Battery (sorry…I should’ve said “state funded and supported media-socialism”).

Phatts Adams sporting a trendy shirt (Moonbatus Disgustibus)
And now Ladies and Gentlemen… please – standing ovation (Stalinist style) lasting for at least 15 minutes for Phillip Adams – broadcaster, journalist, writer, film-maker.
Please, just look at his list of achievements in this purest radical-leftist vanity fare:
*************************
A foundation member of the Australia Council and chairman of the Film, Radio and Television Board, Phillip has chaired the Australian Film Institute, the Australian Film Commission, Film Australia and the National Australia Day Council. He is a former president of the Victorian Council for the Arts and was foundation chairman of the Commission for the Future. He currently chairs the Advisory Board of the Centre for the Mind at Sydney University and the Australian National University. His many board memberships include Adelaide’s Festival of Ideas, Brisbane’s “Ideas at the Powerhouse” and the Families in Distress Foundation.
Other board memberships have included the Museum of Australia, Greenpeace Australia, CARE Australia, the Australian Children’s Television Foundation, Film Victoria and the Anti-Football League. He was co-founder of the Australian Skeptics.
As well as two Orders of Australia, Phillip was Australian Humanist of the Year (1987) and received the Longford Award, the film industry’s highest accolade in 1981, the same year that he was appointed Senior ANZAC Fellow. He is a recipient of the Henry Lawson Arts Award (1987) and in 1998, the National Trust elected him one of Australia’s ’100 Living National Treasures”. He has an honorary doctorate from Griffith University.

Very, very impressive.
Especially impressive that all of the above are gifts form the fellow socialist moonbats (of different ranks and caliber but moonbats nonetheless).
For our overseas readers it has to be explained that our national cultural values and cultural quality standards are currently being decided upon by the likes of Phillip Adams.
These people simply know they are being predestined to dictate to us (primitive plebeians) all values including politics, ethics and esthetics.
This is done through a number of public organizations and bodies (see above glory list) usually paid from the taxpayer purse to line the pockets of the likes of Phillip Adams who in their gratitude always ensure that the above organizations are staffed and run by people with the only acceptable political convictions (Western-style-risking-nothing-communists).
Oh and also, did I mention that Phillip Adams owns a cattle property specializing in the production of chemical-free beef?
Also, he is a collector of rare antiquities, including Egyptian, Roman and Greek sculptures and artifacts.
How noble and patrician of Phillip Adams.
One of many millionaire-communists living comfortably in the West, collecting art , and hating the mammon-god called CAPITALISM, represented by U$RAEL of course.
Phillip Adams was an active member of the Australian Communist Party for a while but according to his own confession:
I wouldn’t be there long. I’d be out of the CP after Hungary. Having joined up at 16 I was expelled at 19, along with my political mentors, the late Stephen Murray Smith, editor of Overland, and the late Ian Turner, the radical historian.
(2)
As always Mr Adams is very canning (in his own way) when it comes to presenting facts.
His usually operates by dropping some names and key words related to “facts” but never ever goes into any greater detail for the fear that:
a) He may show his true ignorance
b) He may say too much and get himself into really hot water
He prefers winning his political “assassinations” by implications but without dropping the final word, by innuendo, journalistic bullying, even by talking over his opponents to silence their opinion (great interviewing technique).
And so why did he got himself into trouble with the Communists Party?
He implies that it was over Hungary.
Once again he didn’t say all that much but implied his heroism and high moral stand.
As you probably know a popular uprising against the communist rule was brutally crushed in Hungary in 1956 and I suppose Phillip Adams did not like it and voiced his opinion at the Party forum and was expelled.
But why, oh why over Hungary though?
True, the affair was very brutal but not even 0.1% as bad as the mass genocide committed by Adams’ revolutionary heroes in Soviet Russia or China?
Why was it OK to kill millions upon millions of people then but not in 1956?
Or was it perhaps because the Soviets did not act decisively enough?
Who knows, we can only guess.
In my opinion the best articles about Phillip Adams were written by Charles Murton and Gerard Jackson of BrookesNews.com
And so if you haven’t already read them please do so, they are available HERE and HERE.
The stories of Phillip Adams have always fascinated me because as a “New Australian” coming from behind the Iron Curtain, I thought that this kind of criminal mentality, sheer ignorance and intellectual mediocrity could be treated seriously, celebrated, and even elevated to the highest ranks only in a totalitarian communist regime.
How naïve of me.
Of course it is clear to me now that the whole media bandwagon in the West has been hijacked by the self proclaimed progressive forces and so the spoils are shared exclusively among the fellow travelers (those who deserve).
Who else would nominate Phillip Adams as the Australian Humanist of the Year (1987)”?
A communist who actively supported mass genocide .. a humanist?
A fair oxymoron wouldn’t you say?
Oh, but Mr Adams is officially against killing if it is done by the Americans and the Israelis and oh by the Christians as well.
Even if it is done in self-defense or to stop another mass genocide.
Nope, Phillip Adams will have none of that.
Just a few weeks after the terrorist flew the plains into the WTC twin towers Phillip Adams wrote the following lines:
“The US fails to see that it has always been among the most violent nations on earth” … “the so-called war against drugs which encourages white police to brutalize black citizens” … “The US aided and abetted the political terrorism that killed Salvadore Allende and turned Chile into a charnel house” … “3 million Vietnamese killed in a war that was none of the US’s business”. And … “If Australia is to be a true friend of the American people, we must try to rein them in, not urge them on. The US has to learn that its worst enemy is the US.”
(3)
Once again no real facts jus implications, innuendos – “as we all know”- sort of factual approach.
It is just for you to know where Adams’ loyalties are.
Yes, Phillip Adams is a true communist and therefore he is Anti-American and Anti-Howard:
In conclusion, an observation. Like many Australians, I thought we were a member of the UN. Apparently not. We’re a member of the US.
(4)
He is also an Anti-Semitic bigot but yes….., you’ve guessed , he had a Jewish grandmother in his closet (..erghh sort of) and so he can shield himself behind this product of his not so original imagination.
Recently her sister, my second daughter, Meaghan, came up with a fragment of family history that seems to have been suppressed. My great-grandmother, on my mother’s side, may have been Jewish – an unfortunate fact that had been hushed up, demonstrating that anti-Semitism wasn’t entirely unfamiliar in the Australian working class.
Thus, according to orthodox tradition, I’ve been Jewish all along.
(5)
There you go. You cannot be anti-Semitic since your grandmother could have been Jewish.
You have to admire this guy for his acrobatics which were supposed to prove him not being Anti-Semitic.
Try this line:
During that time I fell hopelessly in love with Jews. No, not with Judaism. With Jews. It was a consequence of realizing that a remarkable number of the people I most liked and admired were secular Jews. And I met a great many in the Communist Party.
(6)
Hey, dear comrade communist have no nationality, didn’t you know that?
Funny how deeply bigoted your ethnic patronizing is.
You even cannot see it is there can you?
What makes the Jews so different to other human species?
If not Judaism it must be the genes hey?
Now, this is just pure art:
At the age of 16 I found myself wishing I’d been born Jewish.
(7)
Sure, why not, it costs nothing to say that.
It must have been a very good year for Phillip Adams, for not only he joined the communist party then but also decided to become Jewish.
He only confessed to this ancient desire after all the Jewish newspapers in Australia branded him as Anti-Semite.
Still, not a bad line of defense: “Some of my best friends are Jewish”.
Perhaps not that original, but a good line of defense nonetheless:
Years later, a Jewish taxi driver would be astonished to discover that I had a mezuzah on the front door. “I didn’t know you were Jewish,”he said. “I’m not.” “Then why the mezuzah?” It was hard to answer. But it was the same reason that I called my first child Rebecca.
(Ibidem)
What a beauty!
Or this one:
Our kids grew up in a house where Jews and Jewishness were respected. But I was by no means a wholehearted supporter of Zionism, let alone of Israel’s policies towards the Palestinians.
(Ibidem)
Oh yes, now we are getting there.
So you see there are good Jews as well as bad Jews and the bad Jews are those who wish to be themselves.
This is called Zionism and it is baaaaad.
At the same time Phillip Adams supports the Palestinian terrorist in their relentless fight to exterminate all Israelis.
One of his favourite humanist-politician is Hanan Ashrawi.
When Hanan Ashrawi was awarded 2003 Sydney Peace Prize and the Australian-Jewish community expressed their outrage caused by this decision, Phillip Adams tried to gag the critics by accusing them of creating anti-Semitic feelings.
(Article by Phillip Adams “Handing a Club to anti-Semites” which appeared in the in The Australian on 28 October5 2003). (8)
This is what he wrote in the article which is also freely available in the highly ant-Semitic magazine called Counter Punch:
Yet, with growing frequency, I get letters branding me an anti-Semite. Worse still, I’ve lost close friends in the Jewish community. Why? Because in recent years I’ve found it impossible not to criticise Israel’s policies towards the Palestinians.
It is not anti-Semitic to disagree with Israel’s behaviour in the Lebanon or the disputed territories. It is not anti-Semitic to regard Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon as equally culpable with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in the present mess. And it is not anti-Semitic to protest long and loud against the attempts to denigrate Hanan Ashrawi and those who would honour her.
The behaviour of the so-called Jewish lobby over the Ashrawi issue is not only appalling but extraordinarily stupid.
(9)
Not surprisingly, his article stirred some emotions among the “not so progressive” Jewish community but our hero dismissed the criticism by pointing out that his daughter had converted to Judaism. (10)
Once again his patronizing bigotry and only skin deep hidden contempt to all things, which are not aligned with his way of thinking become visible when he responds to the news about his daughter Rebecca (the one with the Jewish name), who for a while wanted to marry an American fellow traveler-radical (who happened to be of Jewish background) and decided to convert to Judaism.
Not content with her father’s enthusiasm for secular Jewry, Rebecca was determined to become a religious Jew. So the process of conversion that began in a liberal Synagogue in San Francisco was concluded long after she decided not to marry Lerner, in New York. When she phoned me from New York to tell me she’d signed up, she asked if her Dad, the notorious atheist, was upset. “Not as upset as if you’d become a Methodist.”
(11)
Later, Adams became a proud dad again when his “Jewish” daughter and her leftie friend Lerner were expelled from Israel for “establishing” dialog with PLO.
In between, my daughter the doctor, went off to Israel and got deported when she and Lerner attempted to establish dialogue with members of the PLO. Fearful for her safety I wished we’d named her something safer. Like Lucy.
(Ibidem)
Fearful for her safety he was.
No need to fear Mr Adams it was the Israelis whom your daughter insulted not the Palestinians.
As an honest and fearless radio interviewer Adams knows how to gag his opponents:
The same month, Philip Adams, interviewed a number of commentators discussing Middle Eastern issues on ‘Late Night Live’ (13/9/01). One of these was Bar-Ilan University’s Professor Gerald Steinberg, an authority on the conflict. His sin, it appears, was to raise an issue that explains much in the Arab-Israeli conflict but which is regularly neglected in the mainstream media: the incitement of Jew-hatred and dissemination of dehumanising antisemitic rhetoric in the media, mosques and education systems of Arab societies. But Steinberg had only to allude to it for Adams to cut him off with the retort that hatred is also disseminated in churches and synagogues. Adams spoke over Steinberg, who could be heard at much reduced volume for some seconds afterwards attempting to elaborate.
(12)
Spontaneous person as he is, Adams said once about Al Sharpton - this fellow “has my heart.” after the massacre at Freddy’s Fashion Mart in Harlem.
The massacre at Freddy’s certainly exposed the viciousness of Sharpton’s racist credentials. Freddy’s Fashion Mart was a white-owned discount business in Harlem. In 1995 Sharpton helped organise a protest against its operations, accusing its staff of being ”white interlopers”. The crowd became so worked up (I wonder why?) that the business was torched, killing seven people in the fire. And Adams has given his heart to this creature!
(13)
But as Gerard Jackson Pointed out:
Adams, who gives every appearance of earnestly believing that only whites can be racists.
(Ibidem)
Sometimes our misunderstood bigot lets his guard down a little (apart from his open Anti-Zionist stand):
There are aspects of Jewish culture that make me uneasy – principally the “If you’ve got it, flaunt it” style of Double Bay. But if that sort of profligacy helps dull the pain of the Jewish experience, so be it.
(14)
That’s right it’s not hypocritical to accuse others off showing off some wealth if we, good communists, own cattle property and collect works of art.
No, not at all.
