Why Islam is Dangerous

Posted by: Patrick   in Iran, Islam, Israel, Patrick

Hashemi Rafsanjani, president of Iran from 1989 to 1997 stated

If one day, the Islamic world is also equipped with weapons like those that Israel possesses now [nukes], then the imperialists' strategy will reach a standstill because the use of even one nuclear bomb inside Israel will destroy everything. However, it will only harm the Islamic world. It is not irrational to contemplate such an eventuality.

If you read that as it is actually written, what he is saying is to hell with the Palestinians, we would nuke Israel if we could get nukes because it would destroy Israel but only "harm" the Islamic world.

Naturally that "harm" would be to the nearby Palestinians from the fallout.

This is a Genuine MAD SCIENTIST

   Posted by: SFW   in General

Tim Flannery is a scientist specialising in  mammalogy and palaeontology and for some unknown reason considers himself an expert in global warming. He is also insane here is the proof. He wants to pump huge volumes of sulpher into the atmosphere to cool the planet. He admits that he has no idea what effect the other consequences of this would be. He is not even sure if it would cool the earth.

Again I come to cognitive dissonance, there has been no warming of the atmosphere since  1998 and possibly as long ago as 1940, in that time the CO2 levels have risen dramatically. The whole premise of global warming is that increased CO2 levels proportionally increase the average global temperatures. This is not happening however some true believers can't see this so they cling to their unsupported beliefs rather than accept what their eyes, brains and intelligence try to tell them. The strangest thing is that the media are part of this belief system and with few exceptions do not question the received wisdom.

What can be done before morons destroy our economy and standard of living?

Death becomes them

Posted by: Bozwell   in Bozwell, Idiots, In The news

Well, it is with great amusement that I can say for a fact the following...

As of right now, there are two less stupid people in the world...

'Train-surfer' electrocuted

THE body of a man suspected of 'train-surfing' has been found on top of a carriage in Melbourne.

Police said they did not know when the 20-year-old Werribee man died but his body was seen by passengers at Flinders St station this morning.

"He was electrocuted and we believe he was train-surfing," a police spokeswoman said.

His body was recovered by the Metropolitan Fire Brigade.

And...

Man dies in spitting contest plunge

A SWISS man died when he fell from a hotel balcony during a spitting match with a friend, a Swiss newspaper has reported.

The daily Blick said the 29-year-old man took a run-up from inside the room so he could spit further, but lost his balance and plummeted 6.4m to the street below.

He died in hospital.

The man had suggested the contest when he and two friends returned from a disco to their hotel in Cadempino in Switzerland's Italian-speaking Ticino canton in the early hours.

One of the men went to sleep, but the two others decided to see who could spit furthest from the balcony of their room.

Quote of the Day

Posted by: rachy   in Economy, Quotes, Rachy

"If Wayne Swan were serving me in a shop I'd count the change"

- John Michael Howson.
(Sunday Morning Radio 3AW)

Oh Malcolm, not again!

Mr Fraser yesterday returned fire, saying Mr Leibler's attitudes would result in continued conflict, warfare and terrorism. "It is time Israel and America learnt that if a country has confidence in itself, in the justice of its objectives, talking with people involves no risk. Failure to talk represents lack ofconfidence, lack of conviction and a weakness that can have tragic consequences." Mr Fraser also called on others to speak out.

(Read complete article here)

Malcolm, Malcolm where do I start? And how do I get through this post without making a single pants joke? I shall try my best, just for you.

I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, and others are in turn entitled to a response. However, inconsistency and hypocrisy do not a good argument maketh, nor does reacting like a snotty teenager. On one hand you have previously asserted it is known "Islamic fundamentalists... won't be changed by logical argument" but then go on to argue we should talk to Hamas. Oh Malky, what is to be done?*

Now pray tell, how do you propose politicians "talk" to an organisation whose whole raison d'etre is the destruction of Israel and the establishment of a militant Islamist theocracy? Don’t believe me? Go read their charter. I mean really, the world needs another Iran as much as it needs another Britney Spears album.

By the way, your talks with Mugabe achieved what exactly? Nope, no tragic consequences there. Oh wait, what talks? I guess that someone else's job now, innit mate?

The Chardonnay must taste pretty good up there in that ivory tower, Malcolm.

* Communist connotation intentional.

UPDATE

How does one talk to folk like this Mr Fraser?

I have written on numerous occasions about the sickening story of Lauren Huxley, and this is the first time that I am somewhat happy about doing so.

It is with great pleasure that I FINALLY get to put Robert Black Farmer--dirt bag that he is, in The Vault...

Eggstrodinary

Posted by: Patrick   in In The news, Patrick

Some guy found a lizard in an egg.

Dr Peter Beaumont, 60, was cooking Thai fishcakes for dinner when he found a fully formed gecko inside an egg shell. He believes the discovery may be a world first and may help solve a food poisoning puzzle.

So what is the puzzle he believes this may solve? Well it seems eggs can carry salmonella, and Dr Beaumont wonders if this could be because lizards, a well known carrier of the bacteria, often find their way into chook eggs which we then eat.

As a non scientist, I find this unlikely. I'm sticking to the porous egg absorbing the bacteria through it's shell theory. I guess that's simple enough. It also explains why duck eggs have a greater chance of carrying the bacteria. Ducks waddle around in all manner of filthy mud, then go sit on their eggs thus creating a moist, warm bacteria breeding heaven. I can vouch for this as a person who used to keep ducks and other assorted poultry.

The best protection against salmonella poisoning is to cook the eggs properly first.

More good news (and some not so good)

Posted by: Bozwell   in Bozwell, In The news, Law and Order

Well, the good news is that a voilent criminal has been shot by Victoria Police. Well done to them for protecting themselves and the rest of us last night.

This crook, with the benefit of a couple of bullets has ceased to be a problem. If only more of 'em could be lined up and shot the world would be a better place in my humble opinion.

Anyway, that's the good news. Now for the not so good news...

Good news!

Posted by: Bozwell   in Bozwell, Light Hearted But True, environmental lunatics

I'm jumping for joy coz I HATE diets and I've just found another one I can't try. Wanna know why?

Read THIS then...

A POPULAR Australian diet that encourages high red meat consumption has been attacked as environmentally "destructive".

The Total Wellbeing Diet, developed by the research body CSIRO, has been criticised by dieticians for several years for being unhealthy, but now it is under attack for wasting water and generating vast quantities of greenhouse gas.

The new report in the latest Nutrition and Dietetics journal claims the recommended 200 grams of red meat daily would use 15,000 more litres of water a week per dieter than the more conservative meat consumption quantities recommended in the national guidelines.

The diet also would generate an extra 4.3 tonnes of greenhouse gas per person a year, say the authors, dietician Suzie Ferrie, from Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and South Australian animal liberationist Geoff Russell.

Well, I'd love to write more but I don't have the time. My family size pizza has just been delivered and the beer is getting warm!

Cheers.

Proven wrong

Posted by: Bozwell   in Bozwell, In The news, Law and Order

My goodness gracious me. It seems as though Prosecutor Ian Heath's "sense of humour" has paid off.

The other day I wrote THIS piece about the guys sense of humour when he demanded that Steven Roy Leslie be sent to jail..."Buckleys" I thought to myself.

Even though Leslie has not actually been sent to jail, he has been sent off to a youth training centre for 12 months.

Amazing

The Roman Catholic Church is Dying (Part 2)

   Posted by: SFW   in General

I have written before about how the Roman Catholic church threw away the jewel in their liturgical crown with the abolition of the Tridentine Latin Mass. Well everything is evolutionary and I guess this is the natural result of Rock Masses and liberal charismatics. This is how a religion commits suicide, or should it be called theocide? I came across this in Currency Lad, he notes how old the congregation is, aging buffoons who have lost their sense of sacred and dignity. I would love to meet someone who thinks this is the way to Heaven.

Har-har-har!!!

Posted by: Bozwell   in Bozwell, In The news, Law and Order, sentencing, victims

I'd never heard of Prosecutor Ian Heath before today, but he's a funny guy. But never mind him for a moment, first things first. This is the story of the tragic end to a World War 2 Veteran's life--82 year old Jack Larkin. Jack was struck down and killed by a speeding car in September 2005. The driver of that car was (now) 20 year old P-Plate driver Steven Roy Leslie who has pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving causing death.

Leslie has no prior convictions and apparently has never been in trouble with the law before so bear that in mind. Prosecutor Ian Heath thinks that Leslie should be imprisoned and has asked for an immediate jail term!!!

I can barely type from laughing so hard!!!

No, Leslie will be told that he's been a very naughty boy and sent to his room for the night--that'll be about the extent of the poor young lad's "punishment". He's only killed one person you know, and I'm sure he's very very sorry.

Anyway, at least it's good to see that there's a prosecutor out there with a sense of humour.
